Welcome! We are a husband (Dustin) and wife (Amber) team living the dream on a small Minnesota homestead on the outskirts of the Twin Cities Metropolitan area. Bawks and Blooms sprung to life the same year we bought our property in 2024. We took the first year to learn and discover as much as we could about our land. We successfully grew 3500 sunflowers and another few thousand zinnias and cosmos as well as built a chicken coop and raised 14 chickens! We plan to grow in 2025 with the addition of more chickens and cut flowers (20,000!) and plan to start the arduous process of returning our fields to native grasses and wild flowers. Cut flowers galore are on the way for bouquets as well as collecting seeds to package and sell for next year. Along with that we’ve started an Etsy shop and are sharing with you everything we learned about raising chickens in Minnesota over the last year and are sharing it with you in our Ultimate Guide.
